MoveOn Westchester Presents "Save Our Homes" Rally
Members of MoveOn Westchester will join thousands of MoveOn members nationwide on Thursday, March 15th, 2012 to demand that President Obama appoint a new director to oversee Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as adjust and rearrange policies of big bank mortgages.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac hold 60% of mortgages—but the agency that oversees them is run by Bush appointee Ed DeMarco, who refuses to allow underwater homeowners to adjust their mortgages to reflect the true value of their homes.
Homeowners are struggling to make ends meet; helping them not only means saving their homes, it will also stabilize the market and help get the economy back on track for everyone.
President Obama can use his executive authority to help those who have lost their homes gain some financial and emotional relief.
MoveOn Westchester is asking you to come join us as we rally in front of Bank of America and Chase in White Plains, NY to ask the public to call the White House and ask the President to take action.
