CNN Money Ranks White Plains a 'Top Small City'

The poll, released by CNN Money, includes ranks White Plains number 44, behind only Clarkstown in New York State.

It's never a bad thing when someone says something good about you, right?

Money Magazine handed over a compliment to the City of White Plains Monday, naming Westchester's county seat one of the nation's top 100 small cities to live in. White Plains came in at number 44, behind only Clarkstown in New York state.

As part of its critique of the city, the magazine complimented White Plains for its top-testing students, corporate offices and outdoor activities, all within a short commute to New York City.

Carmel, IN, took the lists top honor. The city of just more than 80,000 is a suburb of Indianapolis.

What might have kept White Plains from climbing the list even more? Clost of living, which the magazine noted the cost of living can get a little expensive.
