Photos: Lots of Fun at Burke Wheelchair Games

The annual event was held on the Burke Rehabilitation Center on Sept. 22.

An excited group of about 500 fans and supporters cheered on participants during the 2012 Burke Wheelchair Games in White Plains Saturday.

The annual event includes events like table tennis, a slalom obstacle course, shot put, discus, club throw, softball throw and 60, 100, 400, 800 and 1,500-meter races, according to the Burke Rehabilitation Center website.

The event gives people with physical impairments the oportunity for physical competition.

This year's winners came from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
