Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester Benefit Concert for White Plains Resident
The Really Terrible Orchestra (RTOW) will hold a benefit concert to help raise money for White Plains resident Maya Leggat, a RTOW member who was seriously injured when she was pushed in front of an oncoming Metro North train in September. The Concert program will include selections from Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Grieg, Bizet and Rogers & Hammerstein and will be followed by a reception open to all concert attendees.

Maya, 21 years old, is a straight-A student Hunter College and violinist with the RTOW. She miraculously survived the assault but sustained serious injuries to her legs and now faces a long and difficult road to recovery. All monies raised will go directly to help support Maya’s recovery.

The Really Terrible Orchestra of Westchester is a not-for-profit classical orchestra made up of 45 amateur musicians under the baton of professional conductor Nathaniel Chase. For five years the RTOW has been performing at various venues throughout Westchester including libraries, farmers’ markets, shopping malls, parks and senior communities.
