Stepinac High School Announces Hall of Fame Inductees

Five prominent Stepinac HighSchool alumni are the latest to be inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame, and one long-time supporter and board member received the Cardinal Timothy Dolan Service Award.

The Hall of Fame honors individuals, groups or families who have had special life achievements and contributed towards the success of Stepinac. Since 1994, two athletic groups and 65 individuals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Four individuals have been the recipient of the Cardinal Timothy Dolan Service Award.

“It was a pleasure to honor these distinguished individuals, who have had such a positive impact on Stepinac,” said Father Thomas Collins, President. “It was inspiring to hear the accomplishments of the alumni as they expressed their thanks to Stepinac during the ceremony and we are grateful for Maggie Kolman-Mandle, the recipient of the Cardinal Timothy Dolan Service Award, for helping to further enhance the programs and initiatives at Stepinac.”

This year’s Hall of Fame honorees are:

Richard Nagle of Croton on Hudson, a 1959 graduate, is President of the Alumni Association and Founder of the Stepinac Alumni Theater. As an actor, he has made appearances in regional theatre productions, as well as major motion pictures and television productions. He has also had an extensive career as a firefighter, both for the White Plains Fire Department and the New York City Fire Department, from which he retired as a Lieutenant. He was also Fire Safety Director for Grand Central Terminal; Chief for the Ridgefield, CT Fire Department; Director of the New York State Fire Academy; Chief of the Croton-on-Hudson Volunteer Fire Department; and is currently Director of Emergency Management for the Village of Croton.

Martin Conlon of New York City, a 1986 graduate, has had a long career with the National Basketball Association (NBA). A star player at Stepinac, he went on to play for Providence College. Throughout his NBA career, he played for eight teams. Currently, Conlon is the manager of the NBA’s International Basketball Operations and is a member of the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame.

Eugene, Michael and Bruce Molinelli are brothers and graduates of the school. Eugene Molinelli, a 1969 graduate, is a patent attorney and Partner at Evans & Molinelli law firm in Virginia where he resides. Michael Molinelli of Briarcliff Manor, a 1977 graduate, is Principal Architect at Molinelli Architects. He has been President of the StepinacAlumni Association and Stepinac Alumni Theatre, and has served on theStepinac Foundation Board. Bruce Molinelli, of Greenwich, a 1980 graduate, is Chief of Staff of Minimally Invasive, Robotic and Bariatric Surgery at Greenwich Hospital. He has volunteered on medical missions around the world. 

Maggie Kolman-Mandle of Croton-on-Hudson received the Cardinal Timothy Dolan Service Award for her involvement with a wide range of programs at Stepinac. Kolman-Mandle, whose two sons are Stepinacgraduates, is a long-time member and past president of the mothers support group Lady Crusaders. In 2009, she was named Stepinac’s Alumni Mother of the Year and joined the newly created Board of Trustees, which has helped transition the school to independence from the Archdiocese of New York.
