White Plains Named One of Top 100 Places to Live in U.S.

The City of White Plains was recently named number 23 on Livability.com's list of the top 100 places to live in White Plains.

The ranking were compiled using data collected by a survey collected by  Ipsos Public Affairs. Survey respondents were asked about factors that make their communities better places to live, as well as the factors they would consider in selecting another city.

Livability.com also partnered with the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management to help put together its index.

This is what Livability.com had to say about White Plains:

White Plains, just 25 miles north of Manhattan, is a thriving city in its own right – a corporate, retail and government center, whose vibrant downtown delights with green space and people-friendly amenities. The city enjoys a wealth of
things to do, a rich cultural life and excellent schools; two major universities have campuses here. The city’s many programs for kids won it acclaim from America’s Promise Alliance as one of the country’s Best Communities for Young People for the past two years.
