The White Plains Presbyterian Church presents an evening of modern and contemporary brass music on Friday Oct. 26.
The New York Chamber Brass is the group in residence at both WPPC and Purchase College, where the members hold faculty status. They perform well in a variety of styles, but hold a particular affinity for the modern, bringing their deep musicianship to new thought in the art.
The evening will blend modern classics like Hovhaness and Bartok with modern suite writing and a collection of imaginative pieces based on Looney Tunes!
Truly music for all ages to expand our understanding of what chamber music can be. It promises to be an original experience in classical music. Adults $20, Seniors and Student $10.
