Patrick Oliva: 90

Patrick H. Oliva, longtime resident of White Plains, passed away July 20, 2013 at the age of 90.

He was born on February 19, 1923 in Montescharcio, Benevento, Italy to Armando and Carmela (Carbonaro) Oliva. He was also predeceased by one brother, Ben Oliva, and eight sisters, Florence Bianca, Ann Beta, Beatrice Oliva, Jay Volpe, Edith Oliva, Gilda Oliva, Gilda Amelio, and Evelyn Roberts.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline, whom he married on October 20, 1946 at St. John’s Church in White Plains. He is also survived by his three children, Patricia Lynn, Edmond Charles (Margit), Armand Thomas Oliva, three grandchildren, Marland (Julia) Oliva, Lillian (Stephen) Rasulo, Edmond T. Oliva, and one great grandchild Leah Noelle Rasulo.
 
Patrick was a retired postal service worker who enjoyed traveling out west with his children to the national parks. He was an animal lover who had adopted several cats and was an avid train and collectable coin enthusiast. He also enjoyed bowling, hiking, cross-country skiing, golfing, gardening, and above all else time with his family.
