Joseph Francis Pardus of White Plains N.Y., and formerly of Torrington Ct., passed away March 8, 2014 at the age of 85.
Joseph was born on May 7, 1928 in Torrington Ct. to the late Victoria (Buchor) and Steven Pardus. Joseph was a graduate and valedictorian of Torrington High School's class of 1946. Joseph was a graduated from the University of Connecticut.
Joseph was a member of the Elks Lodge 372 Old Timers. Joseph was employed for 21 years as a Manager for the State Unemployment Compensation Division of Connecticut.
Joseph is survived by his partner Edward C. Chorley of White Plains N.Y., his brother Francis (Ingrid) Pardus of Torrington Ct., his nieces Jody (Brian) O'Connor of New Hampshire and Robyn (Jeff) Kirsch of Torrington Ct., and nephews Robert Leone of Bristol Ct., Anthony Leone of Torrington Ct., Carl, Kurt, Eric, Glen and Gary Carlson of Bristol Ct., and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Joseph is predeceased by his brother John Pardus who was killed in action in WW II and his sisters Ann Leone and Margaret Carlson. There will be a service Wednesday at 2 pm at the mausoleum at St. Peters Cemetery in Torrington Ct.
