FASNY: LAND GRAB COUNCIL

Dear Mayor and Council members,

I did not get to go to the meeting but watched on tv.  I was disappointed, but not surprised. If I had closed my eyes, I would have sworn I could hear the voices of FASNY, not our elected officials.  You should all work for their PR firm.

A couple of you made it sound like FASNY was giving us a wonderful gift by coming to White Plains.  You told us how houses would be much worse and FASNY will be our 'Saving Grace'.  You all ran your elections on protecting neighborhoods and the environment.  One of you who ran awhile back on 'No' to FASNY is now appearing to back down.

The situation and negatives have not changed so why are you?  What happened to that campaign promise?   I have been told that a 'yes' vote for the findings does not necessarily  mean a 'yes' vote for the permit.  I do not believe that to be true after all I heard from the majority of you last night.  

I am sick of hearing that I do not know the " facts".  You are not giving us the credit we deserve.  We all know the "facts".  Perhaps this vote has nothing to do with the citizens and is purely political, because we sure have been left out.   One of you held your ground and voted the way you felt and the way you know the truth is about FASNY.  

I have been fighting this since day one and will continue to do so.
