FASNY: SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS

Mr. Martin and Mr. Krolian,

There have been so many facts brought out about the deleterious effects the French American School would create if allowed to build on Ridgeway that I can't believe that you could be unaware of them. How can you ignore the facts of potential damage this project will cause White Plains?  I can't understand how the Council could adopt FASNY "Findings" in spite of the very obvious mistakes, and disinformation contained in them.  

At what point do people who are intelligent and fair get up and say NO?  Just 50 cars waiting in a left lane to turn left would go half way from the proposed turn into the "new road" to Ridgeway.  That would be a thousand feet, 3 football fields.   Are they proposing to widen North Street for a thousand feet. There are a number of private houses along this route. Plus they are very likely to have many more cars and buses than that.  We already have a tremendous amount of traffic on North Street at school hours.  

Are you prepared to allow the street and parking around White Plains High School to be reconstructed to allow for a huge private school to be wedged into this area?  How can this even be considered? There is nothing that can be construed as a benefit that FASNY would bring to White Plains.  Why should the people who represent White Plains turn their backs on its residents and allow this to happen?   Aren't you supposed to represent White Plains' interests?  

As you have heard, it will take many years to construct this major campus which means that the people in the area, not just Gedney Farms will be burdened for years with all the dirt, noise, additional traffic,and the road closures that construction trucks always cause.  If this permit is granted, White Plains will be much the poorer for it and the people who allowed it will be responsible for a most unfortunate outcome.  

Please consider the real facts, not the fantasy that FASNY has presented and changed and changed again.  Please vote NO on the permit request.
