After Stealing Drug Test, Suspect Returns to Store, Police Say

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A City man who police believe stole a home drug test from CVS on Mamaroneck Ave. was arrested Monday evening when he returned to the store to get a prescription filled, police say.

A store manager called police to report that two men had taken the drug test at about 4:45 p.m. Police responded, but the men had already left the area, according to an arrest report.

But a few hours later, at about 7:15 p.m., police say the manager noticed one of the two men in line at the store's pharmacy.

Police responded for a second time and arrested a 21-year-old from White Plains. The suspect was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was transported to police headquarters and released on $500 bail.
