A City man police say addressed an officer with a derogatory term and then refused to leave the area of a fight was arrested early Sunday morning between Quarropas St. and Martine Ave.
The 36-year-old was cited for disorderly conduct, a violation.
Police were responding to a small fight at about 4:15 a.m. when the 36-year-old approached the officer, according to an arrest report. Police say the officer asked the man to leave the scene. Instead, the suspect—who police say was intoxicated—became aggressive and refused, according to an arrest report.
When the officer held out his arm and asked the suspect to step backward, the 38-year-old pushed the officers arms away, according to an arrest report. At that point the suspect was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
