Croton Man Charged with DWI, Drug Possession on Cross Westchester

Police: Arrest in early-morning incident.

A Croton man has been charged with drug possession and drunk driving in connection with an early-morning incident in White Plains, according to State Police.

Police said Peter A. Rummell, 26, of Croton, was charged during a 2:33 a.m. incident on a ramp of the Exit 7 interchange of the Cross Westchester Expressway / I-287. 

Rummell was accused of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released to a third party pending a hearing in White Plains City Court.
