NYC Man Charged in $2,000 Nordstrom Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A forged driver's license and a stolen credit card landed a Brooklyn man in police custody this week facing felony charges, police say.

Andre Brown, 31, of 1199 Carroll St., Brooklyn, is accused of using a stolen Nordstrom's card to buy a $1,695 watch and $750 band at Nordstrom in White Plains on Oct. 17. Police say Brown provided a forged driver's license that matched the name on the credit card, but security called police when they suspected the license was fake.

Police confirmed the license was a forgery and contacted the owner of the credit card, who pressed charges, according to an arrest report.

Police charged Brown with fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument, felonies.
