Fireworks, Currency and Cocaine: Arrest on I-287

The New York State Police arrested a Pennsylvania man on felony drug charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 287 in the Village of Elmsford. 

On Friday March 7, 2014 at approximately 3:00 pm, Troopers stopped a 2001 Ford pick up truck on Interstate 287 westbound at the ramp for exit 2 for traffic violations. 

A Troop T narcotics K-9 alert to the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 843 grams of cocaine with a street value of $42,000. 

Also seized subsequent to the arrest was an assortment of fireworks, counterfeit DVDs, and U.S. Currency. 

The operator of the truck identified as Braulio Rosa, 32, of Easton, PA was taken to the State Police barracks in Hawthorne where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st (A-1 Felony), Trademark Counterfeiting 3rd (A-Misd), and Unlawfully Dealing Fireworks (B-Misd).  

Rosa was arraigned in the City of White Plains Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail with no bail.
