Harrison Police Catch Suspects in White Plains Burglary

The vehicle of the suspects matches the description of a vehicle seen leaving locations of residential and commercial burglaries throughout Westchester County.

Three suspects in a rash of burglaries that took place throughout Westchester County were arrested in Harrison Tuesday after they allegedly fled the scene of a residential burglary in White Plains.

Harrison police arrested Bronx residents Klodian Gjeka, 19; his brother, Joland Gjeka, 16; and another accomplice, Petrit Abazi, 19; on felony charges of criminal possession of stolen property.

At about noon on Tuesday, White Plains police responded to an interrupted residential burglary at 26 Devonshire Dr.  A hotline message was put out county-wide within five minutes of the incident.

Harrison police, while responding to the crime scene, stopped a vehicle on Pleasant Ridge Road in Harrison that fit the description of the suspects’ vehicle. The vehicle also fit the description of a vehicle seen leaving locations of residential and commercial burglaries throughout the county.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Klodian Gjeka, but White Plains police advised that there were two other suspects who fled on foot. Upon further investigation, police identified the suspects as Joland Gjeka and Petrit Abazi.

Joland Gjeka and Petrit Abazi were eventually apprehended at 843 Fox St. in the Bronx.

Police from Rye and Mt. Pleasant assisted in the investigation and additional charges are pending.
