City Man Charged in Larchmont Break-In

A 28-year-old White Plains man was arraigned in county court today on four charges related to the burglary on Aug. 12.

 

A 28-year-old White Plains resident will be arraigned Thursday on a felony charge of burglary in connection with an Aug. 12 residential burglary on Oak Lane in Larchmont.

Jaerue Williams, of Old Mamaroneck Road, was arrested on Aug. 18 by Larchmont detectives as part of a “multi-jurisdictional task force,” after search warrants were placed on his car and home, according to a statement sent out by the Larchmont Police Department today.

The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office charged Williams with one count of second-degree burglary; a felony; two counts of fourth degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor and one count of petty larceny.

There have been a string of home burglaries since Thanksgiving 2011, shattering the calm of the otherwise quiet community.  

The thief, or thieves, typically gain entry through an unlocked window or door.
