Man Arrested After Throwing Remote at Wife, Police Say

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A White Plains man was charged with a pair of misdemeanors after an argument with his wife turned physical, police say.

The man, 34, began arguing with his wife after coming home from work at about 6:34 p.m. on Sept. 27, according to an arrest report. The argument escalated inside the couple's Martine Ave. home, police say.

At the height of the confrontation, police say the 34-year-old suspect threw a remote control at his wife, breaking it.

The woman called police, who responded to the home.

The 34-year-old man was charged with third-degree attempted assault, a misdemeanor, and third-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. He was held for court.
