Man Tried to Use Forged Credit Card to Pay $286 Tab, Police Say

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Determined not to pay a hefty tab at a White Plains bar, police say a 23-year-old Connecticut man tried to place the bill on a forged credit card.

Security at Elements Bar on Mamaroneck Ave. told police they caught Daniel Perry, 23, of Danbury, CT, trying to walk out on his tab at about 11 p.m. on July 5. Perry offered to pay the tab, but the bartender was unable to scan the card for payment.

Police report the credit card had been forged with fake account numbers, according to an arrest report.

Police charged Perry with possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and theft of services, a misdemeanor. He was held without bail.
