Police: 2 Men Caught Smoking Crack-Cocaine

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

City police arrested two men they say were sharing narcotics on Chester Ave. in White Plains Wednesday evening.

Steven Polsky, 47, of 151 Route 59 in Suffern, and Christopher Kirkland, 46, who is believed to be homeless, were charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and loitering, also a midemeanor. Police say both were smoking crack-cocaine from a glass pipe on a pathway step at 10 Chester Ave. at about 7 p.m.

Kirkland admitted the two were sharing a $10 bag of the substance, according to an arrest report. Police say he then handed over the glass pipe, which was hidden in his cargo pants.

Both were charged at police headquarters and released.

Polsky and Kirkland are due in court Sept. 6.
