Police: Drugs, $36K Found in City Apartment

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police executing a search warrant in an apartment on Old Mamaroneck Road discovered a variety of drugs and more than $36,000 cash, police say.

Ricky Towns, of 3 Old Mamaroneck Rd, Apartment 4F, was charged with two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count 2nd degree criminal possession of marijuana, felonies.

A police narcotics unit searched Towns' apartment at about 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 16, according to an arrest report. Police say they found seven bags and two jars of Phencyclidine (commonly known as PCP), as well as two marijuana plants that weighed a total of about 1.5 pounds inside Towns' apartment.

Towns, 34, also had about $36,752 in cash in his apartment, which was taken as evidence, police say.

Police arrested Towns at the scene and transported him to police headquarters.
