Police: Man Caught Stealing SEARS Flashlight

A White Plains man's attempt to steal a $35 Maglite flashlight ended with him facing misdemeanor charges, police say.
Mall security at caught the 64-year-old man after he placed the flashlight in his back pocket and tried to exit the store on Jan. 20, police said.
The man was arrested and charged with petit larceny—a misdemeanor—and released. He was due in court on Jan. 24.
