Police: Man Caught With Crack During Drug Bust

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A man police believe was selling marijuana on a White Plains street faces misdemeanor drug charges after police say they caught him carrying crack-cocaine.

Police say a narcotics investigation unit watched a 58-year-old White Plains man sell marijuana to another man on an undisclosed street at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. After finding marijuana on the man doing the alleged buying, police say they tracked down the seller nearby and found he was carrying about 200 milligrams of crack-cocaine in his pocket and hand.

The 58-year-old was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of marijuana, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The man was held for court.

The 56-year-old man police say bought the marijuana was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and released.
