An Elmsford man faces five misdemeanor drug charges after police say he was caught carrying ecstasy and other prescription pills in a White Plains parking garage.
Police approached three men they believed were smoking pot in the parking garage at 24 Poplar St. at about 12:46 a.m. on Nov. 30. As officers approached, police say Christopher Turnesa, 26, turned and ran down the garage stairs, dropping a Ziploc bag along the way.
Police say they found a marijuana cigarette on the ground near the two other men. The suspects, a 26-year-old from White Plains and a 23-year-old from Valhalla, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police found the Ziploc bag, which was holding a small amount of ecstasy, according to an arrest report. When police caught up with Turnesa, they say they found marijuana in another Ziploc bag and a silver container on his keys holding a variety of prescription pills, according to an arrest report.
Turnesa was charged with five counts of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was held for court.
