A suspected shoplifter got himself into more trouble Tuesday when he knocked over a computer in the security office at Target trying to leave, police say.
Robert Tyc, 27, of 19 Washington Ave., White Plains, was in a security office, accused of stealing $94.97 worth of video games from the Target at 9 City Pl., when he stood up and tried to leave, according to an arrest report. Security staff "physically restrained" Tyc, and a computer was knocked over in the process, according to an arrest report.
The computer was damaged, and police charged Tyc with petit larceny and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. Police say they also found a two hypodermic needles in a backpack Tyc was carrying, which resulted in an additional misdemeanor charge.
Tyc was transported to police headquarters and held for court.
