Police: Teen Jumps Cab Fare, Hides in Bathroom

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

After taking a ride to the White Plains train station, a City teen refused to pay and then hid from police in a nearby bathroom, police say.

The 19-year-old suspect took a ride to the train station at about 11 p.m. on Nov. 2 and walked away from the cab, according to an arrest report. The cab driver called police, who spotted the teen running into a nearby bathroom.

Police arrested the teen and charged him with theft of service, a misdemeanor. He was released on $150 bail.
