Police Use Dogs in Search for Jefferson Valley Bank Robber

Police: Man said he had a weapon; got away with cash.

 

Yorktown and Westchester County police officers are using search dogs to comb the Jefferson Valley area in search of a man who robbed a TD Bank branch late Monday afternoon.

Yorktown police confirmed that a man who threatened he had a weapon got away with cash in a robbery at the bank just off Route 6. Yorktown Police Lt. Richard Malan said the man passed a note to the teller saying he had a handgun. However, no one was injured in the robbery around 4:50 p.m.

Police did not reveal the amount of cash taken in the robbery from the bank, which is located at 3660 Lee Boulevard.

The man, whose picture police have now released, fled the scene on foot, police said. Anyone with more information can call the police department at 914-962-4141.
