Police: Violent FB Message Leads to Arrest

arrested a White Plains man on August 28 after he allegedly sent threatening messages to a Scarsdale woman on Facebook.

Police arrested 33-year-old Jeremy Roman Shvetz of White Plains on a charge of aggravated harassment, according to the Scarsdale Police report.

According to SPD, Shvetz sent the Scarsdale woman a message on Facebook, stating he had a "reputation in Scarsdale for being a violent person," and "Do not pass this on...and if you do I will catch you in a dark alley and beat you bloody with a 2 x 4."

The defendent was arraigned at Scarsdale Village Justice Court and later posted $1,000 cash bail. The judge issued an order of protection to the victim, preventing the defendant from having any contact with the victim.
