Police: White Plains Trio Raided Northern Westchester Stores in Shoplifting Spree
Three White Plains residents are scheduled to appear in Cortlandt town court later this month after they were allegedly found with several thousand dollars’ worth of stolen merchandise from businesses in Yorktown and Cortlandt Wednesday afternoon.
State police arrested Robin Mindingall, 56; Barry M. Brown, 53; and Louis S. Nowell, 61; and charged them with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
At about 3 p.m., trooper said they stopped a vehicle driven by Mindingall on East Main Street in the Town of Cortlandt. When troopers looked inside the vehicle, they allegedly found items stolen from a number of businesses, including the Sears in Yorktown and the Kohl’s in Cortlandt.

Mindingall was arrested and given an appearance ticket to reappear in Cortlandt town court on Jan. 24.
Brown and Nowell were sent to Westchester County Jail without bail. They are scheduled to appear in Cortlandt town court on Friday.
