Troopers: White Plains Man Drove Drunk with Four Child Passengers
Emilio Solis, 33, of White Plains, is scheduled to appear in White Plains court on Sept. 12 after state police arrested him and charged with felony driving while intoxicated on Labor Day.
A 33-year-old White Plains man is scheduled to appear in court next week after police allegedly caught him driving while intoxicated with four passengers under the age of 16 Monday.
State thruway troopers arrested Emilio Solis and charged him with four counts of aggravated DWI with a child passenger, a class E felony; along with misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of child, DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Police said they arrested Solis at about 2:18 a.m. after they observed him driving erratically east on I-287 in White Plains. Solis was allegedly speeding, swerving out of the lane, and failing to use his turn signals, according to troopers.

Police said they interviewed Solis and brought him to police headquarters under the suspicion that he had been drinking. Solis allegedly had a blood alcohol content .15 percent. A person can be charged with DWI if they have a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher.
Solis was released on bail to reappear in White Plains city court on Sept. 12. Solis and his passengers were picked up by family members and taken home without incident.Find out what's happening in White Plainswith free, real-time updates from Patch.
