White Plains Man Severely Beat Girlfriend: Police

Woman taken to hospital for x-rays.

A domestic dispute on Brookdale Avenue in White Plains Friday led to a local woman being transported to White Plains Hospital's ER, and assault charges filed against her boyfriend, police said.

Authorities responded Feb. 22 to reports of a man attacking a woman at 11:57 a.m., and soon after spotted the 39-year-old woman bleeding from the face, police said.

Police also spied a man with scratches on his face walking back into a home.

The victim told police her boyfriend becomes violent when he drinks—and he punched her, pulled her hair and pushed her, according to reports.

Authorities arrested Steven MacFadden, a 43-year-old Valhalla man, and charged him with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

ER doctors took x-rays of the woman's severe facial injuries, police added.

An onlooker told police he did not witness the actual fight, but saw MacFadden bring the victim into the house against her will.
