White Plains Police Seek Suspect in ATM Skimmer Scam

The following announcement was made by the White Plains Department of Public Safety:

On 10/14/13, the subject pictured here was captured on bank surveillance video placing a “skimming device” on a Apple Bank ATM machine located at 33 Mamaroneck Ave, in the City of White Plains. Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact the White Plains Police Department @ (914) 422-6006 and refer to White Plains incident #13-44428.

These photo’s show the fraudulent ATM card reader overlay and the pin-hole camera which was placed on the ATM machine which captures customers account and pin number information.

Investigation has revealed that suspect(s) have disabled several ATM machines in the area to re-direct banking customers to the Apple Bank to use the fraudulent ATM machine. The above devices have been seized as evidence and will be forensically analyzed.
