State police in Hawthorne announced the arrest of Alfredo Borodowski for pulling alongside a vehicle driven by Scarsdale man on Interstate 87 and flashing a police badge at him during a road rage incident in April.
State police investigators said Borodowski, a White Plains resident who serves as the rabbi at the Congregation Sulam Yaakov in Larchmont, allegedly committed the crime on April 29. Borodowski followed the vehicle as it exited off of Central Park Avenue in Yonkers because it had cut him off, according to police..
Borodowski then flashed a police badge at the driver while they were stopped at a traffic light, police said. A passenger in the Scarsdale man's vehicle took a video recording of the incident, according to police.

According to the Huffington Post, Borodowski pleaded not guilty earlier on Thursday to the same charge in Mamaroneck village court. That charge is for an incident in June where Borodowski allegedly drove up alongside a woman's car, flashed a badge and shouted "Police! Police! Pull over!”
Borodowski's attorney, Andrew Rubin, said his client suffers from bipolar disorder, according to the same article.
The Mamaroneck case was adjourned to Sept. 12, pending Borodowski's psychiatric evaluation.
