White Plains Woman Accused of $943 Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A White Plains woman faces a misdemeanor charge after police say she was caught shoplifting at Gap-Banana Republic in The Westchester.

Security stopped a 45-year-old woman as she tried to leave the store after placing clothing in a large shopping bag on Dec. 6, according to an arrest report. Security held the woman at the store and called police.

The total value of the clothing in the bag added up to $943.19, police say.

Police charged the woman with misdemeanor petty larcy. She was later released on $4,200 bail.
