Bee-Line Bus Service to Resume Wednesday

Riders are warned to be aware of possible detours and delays.

Bee-Line Bus service will return to Westchester County Wednesday morning.

County Executive Robert Astorino said Tuesday afternoon the first bus runs will begin at 5 a.m.

Although the news is sure to be met with cheers from regular bus riders from across the county, Astorino warned riders to be aware that things might not run smoothly as the region continues to clear problems caused by Hurricane Sandy.

“We know so many of our residents depend on our buses to get to work and other places, so it is imperative to restore service as quickly as we can,” Astorino said.” I ask that our riders be patient with delays and detours.”

Information about expected detours will be listed on the county’s Website813-7777.

Paratransit service will also resume.

The Westchester County Airport is also expected to have some flights resume Tuesday night. Full service at the airport, however, is not expected Wednesday morning so travelers should check with their airline providers.

they have begun trying to lower http://www.coachoutletmls.com expectations.Consolidated Edison, for example, tucked an especially http://www.hemesbelscq.com dire note into a news release on Thursday afternoon. It said the http://www.coachfactoryoutletion.com “vast majority” of its customers in New York City http://www.coachoutletonlinehl.net and the northern suburbs should have power by Nov. 11, http://www.coachoutletonlineef.org but a significant number could remain in the dark for http://www.coachoutletuso.net a week or more beyond that.John Miksad, the company’s senior http://www.coachfactorystorebg.org vice president for electric operations, said some “stragglers http://www.coachoutletonlinetb.com ” might not get electricity again until the middle of this http://www.coachoutlethcs.com month. Those living through the worst-case situation may http://www.coachoutletb1.com account for just a few percent of the 850,000 Con Edison http://www.coachoutletdi.org customers who lost power,

The 63 Bee-Line bus is currently not traveling on Weaver Street and Crossway inconveniencing about a quarter of its regular riders. The drivers with whom I have spoken have said that they are not currently allowed to travel on these streets because of low-hanging wires.
I can see NO wires hanging low enough to be a hindrance to buses. It would be nice if management, which has not proven itself terribly competent in communicating to its riders about prior problems, would let us know about this situation. I guess it is too difficult to put signs at each bus stop explaining this situation. Time for another fare increase???????

I'm glad to see someone else put on paper some of the reaction I have had to being required to pay aRead More fee to park at WestMed. I think the fee is unconscionable! I was even more insulted when I received a tone-deaf response to my complaint about the fee from the head of WestMed. I understand that WestMed ended up paying considerably more for the parking facility than anticipated, but that's no justification for charging clients who have no choice but to park there in order to receive vital services. It's a gross insult to the patients. It's not our fault that WestMed had to cough up more dough. With new WestMed locations being opened every few months, clearly the company is not hurting financially. And, what's most ridiculous, is that they hired a staff of four or five parking attendants to issue tickets and instruct us how to pay for the parking! Why not use their salaries to help defray the facility's cost? You're right that it's pure greed because WestMed could have chosen to recoup the cost more slowly and not charge a fee. When I expressed my displeasure about the fee to my doctor, he posed an interesting question: when the facility's cost is paid off, will WestMed continue to charge for parking? By this time, WestMed has certainly recouped enough of the cost to make a dent in the overall expense. It's time to get rid of the fee and restore some dignity to what used to be a fine organization. In the past I heartily recommended family, friends and many others to WestMed. Now, I've got a very nasty taste in my mouth about WestMed! Shame on you, WestMed!

It's not true that parking is required. You could do as I do and walk there (assuming it isRead More actually the White Plains office you are referring to and not Harrison), or take a bus, or a taxi, or have someone drop you off and pick you up. And if you aren't happy with their service, go somewhere else. There are lots of doctors not affiliated with Westmed.

Clifford, thanks for your two cents! How lucky for you that you can walk to your doctor's office andRead More not have to pay to park!
