There's a Foreclosure Prevention event in White Plains today at the corner of Martine Avenue and MLK Jr. Blvd., outside of the County Clerk's Office, 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., White Plains.
Foreclosure relief experts from the NYS Dept of Financial Services will be on hand to advise financially troubled homeowners on options to save their homes.
State Senator Stewart-Cousins is co-hosting the Foreclosure Prevention Event in partnership with the Department of Financial Services and State Senator Suzi Oppenheimer. If you or someone you know is having trouble with mortgage payments, this event will offer free consultations with foreclosure prevention experts from the Department of Financial Service's Foreclosure Relief Unit. These experts have been traveling the state informing homeowners of their options to prevent foreclosure.
The event is happening from 11AM - 7PM outside of 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd White Plains, NY.
"Many financially troubled homeowners may not realize that help is available, and others may be too embarrassed to come forward. But the sooner they act the more options they have. By traveling the state and coming to areas like White Plains, the Department of Financial Services is making it easier for those facing foreclosure to get the assistance they need from qualified professionals," said Stewart-Cousins.
