Green shopping is about to get a little easier for White Plains patrons.

The City of White Plains has partnered with the Citizens Campaign for the Environment and five local stores to organize a reusable shopping bag giveaway on Dec. 1. There is no minimum purchase, and all patrons at the stores listed below will be given a free bag.

White Plains High School student Max Crawley designed the bags as part of a contest. The City is encouraging all shoppers to use reusable bags because they are better for the environment and reduce litter on White Plains streets.
