Give Your 'State of the County' Speech

Have your say on the fiscal and political health of Westchester County.

When it comes to state of the "blank" speeches—state, county, union—politicians have to walk a very fine line.

Too dour and voters get turned off. Too rosy and you seem out of touch. Not enough solutions? Get with it, that's why we pay your salary! Too many solutions? Sure, just throw everything out there and see what sticks. Pfft.

Can you do better? We'd love to find out.

In honor of Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino's State of the County address tomorrow night, why don't you take a crack at framing the state of Westchester County? Take our poll and comment below.

County Executive Robert P. Astorino will deliver the 2012 State of the County Address on Wednesday, April 25  at 7:30 p.m. in the Central Jury Room of the County Courthouse, 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., White Plains. The speech is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
