Halloween Tricks and Treats Event Set for Saturday

The Halloween tradition will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Gillie Park.

For the second year in a row a major storm overshadowed Halloween for most people in the Northeast. But there is still one more chance for White Plains children to get their share of Halloween spirit.

The White Plains Halloween Tricks and Treats event will take place on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Gillie Park on Gedney Way. The event is geared toward families, pre-schoolers and elementary school children and includes goblins, ghosts and witches who will haunt the park.

There will also be food, refreshments, games and plenty of candy.

The event is free and is sponsored by the White Plains Recreation and Parks Department. Parking is available at Highlands Middle School with a shuttle bus to the event.
