New Year, New Council

New Councilman Dennnis Krolian was sworn-in, while Councilwoman Beth Smayda was selected as council president.

 

Newly-seated Councilman Dennis Krolian was sworn in at his first council meeting Tuesday—along with incumbents , Benjamin Boykin , who is serving the remainder of a two-year term.

The wholly Democratic council then voted to appoint Councilwoman Beth Smayda as the new council president, .

Krolian, who has lived in White Plains for almost 30 years and lives in the Soundview neighborhood, is a trial attorney with Safranek, Cohen & Krolian and is an adjunct professor at Berkeley College. Click on the video to see Krolian being sworn in.
