The spring musical will be held at White Plains Middle School’s on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. 

will hold its Multicultural Night at 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 31

GW Latin Dance Night will be held at for a night of food, fun, dancing, bingo, and prize giveaways. Admission is $10 and includes one bingo card, which will be played from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and dinner, which will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A salsa lesson will be given at 7 p.m., and dancing will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Contact Laura Reidy at laurareidy@gmail.com or (914) 843.3128 for more information.

The Federated Conservationists of Westchester and the Pace Center for Environmental Legal Studies will present a forum on local examples of sustainability and how Westchester can further its efforts for the environment at 9 a.m. at . Click for more information.

Easter Candy Hunt

When/Where:  Saturday, March 31, 1 p.m. at in Mount Kisco.

Why Go: It is an afternoon of fun and excitement with a candy hunt and more. There will be games for the children such as a jelly bean and balloon hop relay, in separate the age groups. Bring your own bag or basket.

Price:  Free, sponsored by Bedford Village Chowder and Marching Club. (Rain date: April 1, 1 p.m.)

Easter Bunny Express

When/Where:  Saturday, March 31(and April 1, 6 and 7) from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.at

Why Go: Take a ride on a vintage train to the Easter Bunny's special railroad coach car. Trains depart every 30 minutes from 12:30-3:30 p.m. In addition to the ride and visit with the Easter Bunny, admission includes a small gift for children from the Easter Bunny; temporary tattoos, a coloring station, a Thomas® play table, operating layouts and museum exhibits.

Price: Admission is $9

Meet the Players from Super Bowl 46 Champions, the New York Giants

When/Where:  Sunday, April 1, 12 noon-6 p.m. at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie

Why Go: Meet players from the Giants Super Bowl 46 team including Justin Tuck, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Mario Manningham. Athletes will be charging a fee for autographs and pictures at this family-friendly event that will feature a vast selection of modern and vintage sports cards and memorabilia. 

Price:  $5 Admission; children under 12 are free.

Will Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

When/Where:  Saturday, March 31 at 11am and 1:30pm, Sunday, April 1 at 12 noon at the in Mamaroneck

Why Go: This version of the classic book-turned-movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" will be performed by a cast of adults and teens for kids and their families in the musical's live version. It tells the tale of Charlie, Grandpa Joe and Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

“Avenue Q” on Stage in Irvington

When/Where:  Friday, March 30, 7 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 3 p.m.,

Why Go: Presented by Broadway Training Center of Westchester, this show was the winner of three Tony Awards: Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. Avenue Q, the musical that is presented part human, part puppet, tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q, where he meets a wacky group of residents who help him finally discover his purpose in life. Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, Book by Jeff Whitty.

April Fools! A “Not so Proper Cup” of Tea

When/Where:  Sunday, April 1, 2 p.m. at in Larchmont

Why Go:  Parents and kids are invited for tea and “A Not So Proper Cup.” Author Laura Dower will be at the store with her early reader “The Slime that Would Not Die.” And beware: April Fool’s Day might bring other surprises!  Best for ages 6 to 9 with a parent.

Wake Up Your Garden For Spring Workshop

Dance Theater of Harlem at the Paramount

Why Go: Dance Theater of Harlem Ensemble will host a lively program that features a variety of short ballet performances and excerpts, giving the audience a behind-the-scenes look at the making of an artist, from the barre to the stage, and exposing them to the company's "unique yet classic" brand of dance and amazing 42-year history.

Second Annual Westchester Poetry Festival

When/Where: Saturday, March 31, 2012, 1 p.m. at in Dobbs Ferry

Why Go:  The Hudson Valley Writers’ Center will join forces with The Masters School in presenting the 2nd Annual Westchester Poetry Festival. This year’s festival features poetry readings, workshops, student performances, and lectures. Participating poets include Deborah Poe, Anne-Marie Fyfe, Jane Collins, Uche Nduka, Jennifer Franklin, Floyd Chung, Quincy Lehr, Yibing Huang, Ana Bozicevic, and lyricist and performer Bill Kelly, joined by Masters alumnae songwriters Alexa Wilding and Sinem Saniye. Renowned poet Rigoberto Gonzalez headlines the event and gives a reading to launch the festivities. Many of the presentations will be signed by American Sign Language interpreter Mara Zuckerman.
