White Plains Biz Helps Spruce Up NR Park [VIDEO]
The employees, including the CEO, painted and scraped their way through a few projects the city had not been able to get around to doing.
About 100 employees of Heineken USA dodged rain drops Wednesday to help spruce up parts of Hudson Park.
The group helping to paint the pavilion included Heineken USA President and CEO Dolf van den Brink, who said his company selects one community each year in which employees provide a day of giving. New Rochelle resident and Heineken USA's manager for internal communication Jackie Overton was elated her city was chosen for the give-back day.
New Rochelle Parks & Recreation Commissioner William Zimmermann said the rain prevented all the work from getting done, but he was impressed with the amount the Heineken employees did, including painting railings, scraping and painting the white linear gazebo and staining the new sun shelter.

He said having city staff do the work would have taken about a week and cost between 15 and 20 thousand dollars.

Before the Heineken USA employees broke for lunch at Dudley's, Mayor Noam Bramson stopped by to thank them on behalf of the 77,000 residents of New Rochelle.
