Stepinac Increases Staff, Adds New Teachers

Archbishop Stepinac High School added 12 new teachers, and expanded its staff by nine positions, according to a release distributed Tuesday.

Stepinac High School in White Plains added 12 new members to its staff this year, according to a release from the school.

The new additions fill three spots vacated from last year and add nine new positions to the staff as a whole. New teachers will join the high school's math, history, foreign language, religion, science and art departments, the release said.

“We have been fortunate to be able to add a combination of new and experienced faculty members who enable us to continue our efforts to broaden and raise academic standards,” said Stepinac Principal Paul Carty. “In a difficult job market for teachers, Stepinac has not only been able to fill vacancies, but add positions.”

“Stepinac is proud of its accomplished alumni and we are honored that 21 alumni are on board for the start of the 2012-2013 school year,” said Father Thomas Collins. “These individuals share great passion for Stepinac’s loyalty, dedication and spirit, and want today’s students to have the same experience that they had.”
