White Plains High School Graduates on Thursday

The commencement ceremony will take place at the Westchester County Center at 7:30 p.m.

graduates will don their cap and gowns at the Westchester County Center Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for the 2012 commencement ceremony. Superintendent Dr. Christopher Clouet said that he is proud of the school’s 480 graduating students, as well as the district’s graduation rates.

“We have a very high graduation rate, which includes students who are economically disadvantaged,” said Clouet. “About 85 percent of economically disadvantaged kids graduate in four years, and 90 percent in five years.”

This year’s valedictorian is Benjamin Van Doren, with Adam Jaffe as the salutatorian.
