White Plains Schools to Host Budget Input Session Tonight

The White Plains school district is holding a public budget input session tonight at 7:30 p.m. inside room B-1 of the high school.

All residents are invited to attend the sessions and participate in a focused dialogue on budget priorities and creative ways to increase revenues. A review of the district’s financial situation, financial constraints and other issues relating to development of the budget will be presented.

“It a hearing for us to learn what the community thinks should be a part of our budget and to and to answer questions,” said Timothy Connors,  interim White Plains schools superintendent.

Another public input session is scheduled to take place March19 at the same time and location. White Plains High School is located at 550 North St.

The district will also hold two Public Hearings:  the first on March 10, on the Preliminary Proposed Budget, and the second on May 12, on the Board of Education’s Adopted Proposed Budget. Both hearings will take place at Education House, 5 Homeside Lane, at 7:30 p.m.

The public budget vote is scheduled to take place May 20.
