WPHS Magazine Wins First Place Literary Award

"Roar" wins yet another prize for excellence

“Roar”  s literary magazine was awarded “First Place with Special Merit” in the American Scholastic Press Association’s annual competition for 2011.

Nathaniel Lanman was Editor-in-Chief, Hannah Fine was Art Editor, and Eero Talo was Literary Editor. The Faculty Advisor is Brendan Donegan.

The highest level in the competition, “First Place with Special Merit” is awarded to school publications with “special and outstanding design and content.”

Roar also received a  from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in 2010, and a from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for 2011.
