1st ANNUAL ‘PICNIC WITH PUPS’, A Pet Therapy Day at Pace Law School

The practice of providing dogs as therapy for law students is a growing trend across the nation, currently used by law schools such as Harvard, Yale, and George Mason Univ., to name a few.

It is well documented that visits from therapy dogs have resulted in increased happiness, calmness and overall emotional well being.

The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) at Pace Law School has collaborated with a no-kill shelter, PetsAlive Westchester, for a pet therapy day to help ease some of the stress of finals for the law students.

The event is this Wednesday, April 25th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on the main quad of Pace Law School. Students will be able to play with the dogs, and every dog will be up for adoption!

Members of the public are welcome to come and adopt a new best friend!

For more information, please contact:

Olivia Marotta, Vice President of SALDF

The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) at Pace Law School is an organization that seeks to raise awareness about animal cruelty and is further devoted to the support of the general welfare of animals under the law.
