John Jay Football Holds On Against White Plains

John Jay-East Fishkill won Saturday, 27-20, at White Plains

Cameron Crabbe's fourth down pass narrowly landed out of wide receiver Thomas Bertram's grasp with just more than a minute remaining, leaving White Plains just short of completing an impressive fourth quarter comeback against visiting John Jay-East Fishkill Saturday.

After falling behind 27-13 with 4:04 to go, it looked like White Plains' bid for its first win of the season was out of the question. But Crabbe hit Bertram on a 37-yard touchdown pass, making it 27-20 with 3:07 left.

Tigers kicker Murilo Rosendo then bounced an onside kick high off the turf into the arms of teammate Robby Lorden at the John Jay 38-yard line. White Plains drove to the John Jay 13-yard line, but Crabbe's pass was off the mark in the endzone on fourth and four with 1:08 remaining.
