White Plains Native Robinson Named Skyline Women Hoops Rookie of the Week

Jasmine Robinson, a White Plains native and freshman guard for SUNY College at Old Westbury, was named the Skyline Conferences Rookie of the Week, the school announced.

Robinson, who attended Alxeander Hamilton High School in White Plains, earned the honor for the second time this season  after contributing 20 points on 9 of 15 shooting, six steals, five rebounds and three assists to Old Westbury's 82-67 win over the visiting Mount Saint Mary Knights on Jan. 25.

Her six steals tied a career-high and she has compiled at least five steals in seven contests this season.

Robinson is averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.1 steals per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field this season. She also leads the conference in steals per game and ranks eighth in points per game, ninth in assists, second in field goal percentage and 10th in free throw percentage.
